Southern Education Foundation (SEF)
Jones Worley was awarded a contract by the Southern Education Foundation more than a decade ago to brand and develop collateral for “Beyond Racism,” a signature, four-volume publication. The voluminous report, published in English and Portuguese, was presented to South African President Nelson Mandela in 2000, during SEF’s conference on race relations with Brazil, South Africa and the United States.
Jones Worley’s quality of work and professionalism forged a successful partnership with SEF that has resulted in some of the firm’s most memorable assignments. Jones Worley played a key role in branding the organization’s 140th anniversary in 2007, using a 40-page annual report and companion brochure as the vehicle.
In 2009, the firm produced the first in a series of “Still Striving,” governance and accreditation reports for SEF, followed by the “Not Rocket Science” report in 2010. The latter document outlined methods that historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and traditionally white institutions can use to encourage African American students to pursue degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
